Weekend Package: How about a short Trip to the Franconian Switzerland?
Have a nice Weekend:
- Arrival on Friday - departure on Sunday
- Double room with shower/WC, TV, hair dryer and telephone. Including continental breakfast buffet, welcome cocktail, three-course regional specialties menu and 1 glass of wine or beer.
- Every guest receives a folder with information about our valley and the surroundings
- We welcome you upon your arrival on friday with a regional cocktail
- After this we ask you to take your places at a three-course evening menu
On Saturday - after an ample breakfast buffet - we suggest the following activities:
- a nice walk from our hotel to the ruin of the "Neideck" castle and to the village of Streitberg with the famous Bing Cave and the historic "Pilgerstube" ("Pilgrim's Inn"), where you can taste our regional "Schnapps".
- for sports-minded guests we recommend a tour with a canoe (reservations: phone 0(49)9196 - 98566).
- bicycle-tour trhough our region, bike rental outlet in our village. Tour suggestions on forchheim-online.de (in German language only, sorry)
- golfers find two 18-hole golf courses just a few kilometers away. (Golf Club "Franconian Switzerland" / Golf Club Pottenstein-Weidenloh)
- on rainy days you can visit the "Franconian Switzerland Museum" in Tüchersfeld or go on excursion to our historic historischen towns like Forchheim, Bamberg, Nuremberg or the "Wagner-Town" Bayreuth
- for children and sports fans alike we recommend the summer toboggan run in Pottenstein - big fun for the whole family!
- a trip with Franconia's first historic railway: the historic trains of the non-profit association "Dampfbahn Fränkische Schweiz" (DFS) are running on Sundays and on many public holidays from 1st May to 30th October 2005.
